This role specifically involves working with children from birth through 10 years of age. We are committed to building a diverse staff, and our programs actively engage in conversations and training on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to promote equity and justice for the youth and families we serve.ResponsibilitiesProvide counseling and case management services for enrolled youth and their familiesSupport client and family to connect to natural supports and community-based resourcesProvide crisis intervention and other mental health services as needed at client homes, schools, and other community locationsParticipate in all treatment reviews, program staff meetings, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when necessaryComplete mental health notes and other paperwork, and complete service tracking documentation as indicatedAssist with planning arrangements and transportation for school, therapy appointments, and court hearings as needed Attend team meetings, weekly trainings, individual and group supervisions, and adhere to clinical best practicesMaintain a flexible work scheduleParticipate in providing crisis phone support as scheduledUtilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's crisis response trainingQualifications Education/Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree ORAssociate degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable experience ORHigh School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experience may be accepted in programs that do not have a written contract requiring a Bachelor’s degree as a minimum education levelApplicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families or working in the social services fieldAt least 21 years of ageExperience working with children/youth and families with complex and enduring needs preferredExperience implementing family-focused services preferred TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirementsValid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policySchedule Full-time; Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm Hybrid; provide in-person services, able to complete documentation remotelyOn‑call shifts are scheduled in advance, with staff rotating weekly to provide phone‑based crisis supportBenefits Starting at $26.22 - $28.72 per hourActual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications Salary increases each yearAdditional compensation for passing the bilingual proficiency examMileage reimbursements for on job travelComprehensive benefits package:Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, and fertility coverage50% paid premiums for dependentsLong-term disability, family leave, and life insurance403b Retirement PlanEmployer-paid Employee Assistance Plan5 weeks of Paid Time off and 11 Paid Holidays Seneca is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness certified employerScholarship opportunities, ongoing training, and professional development opportunitiesPromotional opportunities across the agency in California and Washington
