Job Title: DevOps Engineer Location: Chicago, IL (On-site) Employment Type: Contract Job Description Must Have Technical/Functional Skills7+ years of experience as DevOps Engineer and possess good experience and exposure in Azure enterprise environmentsDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for application build, test, and deployment workflowsManage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, including AKS, App Services, and Function AppsImplement containerized deployments using Docker and orchestrate services via Kubernetes (AKS)Support platform modernization initiatives, including migration of services to AKS-based architectureIntegrate DevSecOps controls such as code quality checks (SonarQube) and vulnerability scanning and quality gates into pipelinesAutomate deployment processes, including validation, rollback, and change management workflowsEnable secure configurations using Key Vault and Managed Identity for service and database accessImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure platform reliability and performanceSupport data pipeline integration with ADLS and metadata-driven frameworks across Bronze/Silver/Gold layersDevelop reusable templates and automation frameworks for standardized deploymentsEnable deployment orchestration, validation, and rollback strategies aligned with enterprise change management processesCollaborate with development, QA, and platform teams within Agile / PI planning cyclesCandidate should have strong automation mindset and focus on reliability, scalability, and security Required Skills & TechnologiesCI/CD Tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub ActionsSource Control: Git, GitHub EnterpriseCloud Platform: Microsoft Azure (AKS, App Services, Function Apps, Networking)Containers: DockerOrchestration: Kubernetes (AKS)Programming/Scripting: Terraform, Node.js, Python, Shell/PowerShellDevSecOps Tools: SonarQube, Checkmarx and Security Scanning toolsData Platforms (Preferred): ADLS, data pipeline orchestration frameworks
