Software Developer
The Software Developer II provides technical solutions to the needs of stakeholders by interpreting business requirements, defining technical tasks, engineering quality software, performing end to end testing as well as supporting and troubleshooting technical questions, software, and database issues.
Analysis, Design - Analyzes and resolves issues by coordinating with in‐house personnel (both on shore/off shore) to diagnose and fix operational difficulty, as well as consulting, advising and training on specialized features and functions. Provides general system users and management with system analysis and feedback. Influences system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for software enhancements.
Code Development and Maintenance - Writes programs according to specifications from higher-level staff or business analysts. Resolves in a timely manner problems that arise with existing production applications to ensure the efficient and proper functioning of application components. Follows established configuration/change control processes Collaborates with technical staff to learn and understand software problem
QA and Standards - Performs unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements. Maximizes the efficiency of the various software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing and auditing new software programs
Reporting - Generates a variety of complex and periodic reports and/or data through database management, data administration and data extraction techniques
Documentation - Develops technical documentation. Document system functionality

Minimum Educational Qualifications
BA/BS in information technology, computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience
Experience with coding, testing, design, and software development methodologies
Experience with major database management systems (dbms)
Other Job-Specific Skills
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with all levels of the organization.
Experience working as a liaison between business units and technology teams.
Supervisory experience a plus
Automotive manufacturing or supply chain management experience a plus.
