Our community celebrates multiple languages and cultures through rich liturgies, varied ministries, and active outreach that reflect both compassion and inclusion.We are also a newly unified parish, formed through the merger of two legacy parishes and shaped by an intentional pastoral planning process focused on mission, discipleship, unity, and holistic faith formation for all ages.The OpportunityWe are seeking a visionary, pastoral, and collaborative Director of Lifelong Faith Formation to join our parish leadership team. This role is not just administrative - it will shape a cohesive strategy for faith formation that invites all parishioners into a deeper encounter with Christ and empowers them to live as missionary disciples.This leader will work closely with clergy, staff, trained volunteers, and ministry teams to bring our parish vision to life - especially in areas of faith formation, evangelization, and spiritual growth across all ages and life stages.What You'll DoAs Director of Lifelong Formation, you will:• Craft and steward a holistic vision for lifelong faith formation that aligns with the parish's mission and pastoral priorities• Build welcoming environments where children, teens, adults, and families feel known, supported, and encouraged in their journey of discipleship• Collaborate with existing ministries and councils to integrate formation into liturgical life, outreach, sacramental preparation, and community engagement• Develop engaging programs and experiences that foster growth in faith - from catechesis to retreats, Bible studies, formation series, and small groups• Equip and empower volunteers and catechists with training, resources, and support so they can confidently accompany others in faith• Champion discipleship and evangelization in ways that encourage parishioners to live out their faith boldly and compassionately in the worldWho You AreOur ideal candidate is:• A practicing Catholic with a deep love for the Church and a heart for helping others grow in faith• A visionary leader: you see the big picture and help others see it too, inspiring them to participate• Pastorally grounded with excellent relational skills - able to connect with people of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences• Collaborative and adaptive, working effectively with clergy, staff, volunteers, and parishioners in building community• Experienced in parish ministry, education, spiritual formation, or related leadership - with a passion for lifelong discipleship• An effective communicator, who knows their audience and ensures all are well informed in a timely manner.Why This Role MattersAt St. John XXIII, we want every person in our parish to encounter Christ, grow in discipleship, and be sent forth to serve the world with love and justice.
