May lead and direct the work of trainees. A high level of organization and attention to detail is expected.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesOrganizes office operations and procedures for the efficient flow of work within the administrative office as well as the integration of interdepartmental workflow and sequence.Maintains training records for each new individual that arrives at the facility. Updates training files as required in accordance with audit guidelines.Follows uniform correspondence procedures and style practices. Composes and types general correspondence based on knowledge of management views and/or verbal instructions for management approval.May direct the activities of detainees.May direct the activities of new employees and trainees.May operate under the direction of the facility Human Resources staff.Establishes and maintains effective working relations with a wide spectrum of employees, officials, and the public.Arranges training schedules for facility staffing in accordance with applicable policies and guidelines.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent certification required.Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a responsible clerical, secretarial, or related field. Appropriate accreditation and/or certification in related field may supplement work experience requirement.Proficient with general PC application software products (Microsoft Office suite).Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and knowledge in the performance of complex, confidential, and sometimes difficult duties.
