Civil Project Engineer
Overview This is an entry level civil engineer position. You will assist senior staff with engineering analysis and design tasks in steel structures and concrete foundations. Manage the creation of 3D models and engineering drawings. Follow international, state, and industry codes and specifications to design and produce safe, complete, accurate, clear, compliant, constructable, and cost effective concrete and structural steel designs and deliverables for natural gas, hydrocarbon, and industrial facilities. This position is located at our office in Derwent, Ohio. ResponsibilitiesPerform calculations for structural steel and concrete designs under the direction and supervision of a Professional EngineerResponsible for the project scope of work, budget, schedule, communication of scope changes, and coordinating and exchanging technical information with other project disciplinesPrepare and review detailed engineering calculations, design drawings, technical documents, and engineering studies along with developing and maintaining associated site, architectural, concrete, and structural steel drawingsCoordinate and exchange technical information with clients, inter-company service groups, architects, owners, vendors, and other third partiesDevelop, train, and mentor drafting and design personnel in the departmentOther duties as assigned QualificationsA Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering (ABET-accredited) is requiredMinimum 0-2 years' work experience with EIT or minimum 0-4 years' work experience without EIT requiredEngineer in Training (EIT) is preferredWorking knowledge of 3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and structural modeling and analysis software is preferredProficient use of Microsoft Office Suite requiredMust have good communication and analytical skills
