This is a unique opportunity to step into a visible position with strong exposure to senior leadership and the ability to influence both accounting operations and cost performance.This individual will operate as the lead finance presence at their location, partnering closely with the Controller and VP of Finance while supporting site leadership on financial performance and cost initiatives.Own day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger and journal entriesLead month-end close and ensure timely, accurate financial reportingPerform cost analysis and drive visibility into manufacturing performanceSupport inventory processes including physical counts and cycle countsManage account reconciliations and intercompany transactionsOversee fixed assets (PP&E and tooling) accountingAssist with audits (internal, external, and corporate)Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and cost reductionDay-to-day accounting ownership# Team Structure~ VP of Finance (direct supervisor)~ Assistant Controller (this role)~ Senior Accountant (on-site)~2 Junior Accountants (off-site)3–5 years of accounting and/or audit experience~ Exposure to cost accounting and inventory~ Experience with month-end close and financial reporting~ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferredOpportunity to "own" accounting at a site levelHands-on role with impact across operations and financeDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
