Quality Control Manager
Location: Hudson, MA
Salary: $90,000/year (Target Range: $85,000–$110,000 based on experience)
We're seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the inspection department for a growing precision machining company in Hudson, MA. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend time inspecting machined parts while managing the day-to-day workflow of the Quality department and leading the inspection team.

Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations and workflow of the Quality Control department
Perform hands-on inspection of precision machined parts and components
Prioritize work assignments for the inspection team to support production schedules
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and inspection standards
Create, prepare, and submit First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation to customers
Train, mentor, schedule, and supervise Quality Control personnel
Analyze quality data and production reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Investigate quality issues with suppliers, customers, and internal manufacturing teams
Identify, document, and help resolve non-conforming products
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements
Qualifications:
5+ years of Quality Control or Quality Management experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
Hands-on experience using precision measuring equipment including:
Calipers
Micrometers
Height gauges
Pin gauges
Thread gauges
Other inspection tools
Experience developing and maintaining quality systems and procedures
Previous experience leading, training, and supervising Quality Inspectors
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems
CNC machining or precision machining experience
Experience preparing and submitting First Article Inspections (FAIs)
