Job DescriptionDaily Duties / ResponsibilitiesAnalyze the SCDMV Phoenix II, web service, and batch business applications.Take the lead in analyzing and troubleshooting assigned system problems.Propose solutions.Code, test, promote, and interact with impacted users, ensuring that solutions meet requirements.Provide daily and weekly status updates to the Development Manager.Required Skills (Ranked in Order of Importance)8+ years of development experience with Micro Focus Visual COBOL on Windows Server 2019/2022, including batch processing and IIS-based applications.4+ years of experience with Visual Studio 2019/2022, including strong debugging skills.4+ years of application programming experience with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL).Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline with 8 years of experience, or minimum 10 years of related experience without a degree.Preferred Skills (Ranked in Order of Importance)Experience with Micro Focus COBOL version 7 or higher.Ability to write complex SQL queries for Oracle and MS SQL databases.IIS configuration and setup experience.Proficiency in C# and .NET.Microsoft Certification (please specify the certification on the resume).Micro Focus Certification (please specify the certification on the resume).Required EducationBachelor's degree in an Information Technology–related discipline with 8 years of experience,ORMinimum 10 years of related experience without a degree.Required CertificationsNot required, but Microsoft technical certifications will be considered during the selection process.Micro Focus certifications are a significant advantage.
