In this role, you will design and execute performance tests, analyze system behavior, identify bottlenecks, and work closely with engineering teams to improve end-to-end performance across web, mobile, and backend systems.You’ll act as both a technical expert and a performance advocate, helping teams build products that meet strict performance, scalability, and reliability standards.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain performance, load, stress, and endurance testsDefine and validate performance requirements, SLAs, and SLOsAnalyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks across application, API, database, and infrastructure layersCollaborate with developers, SREs, and architects to diagnose and remediate performance issuesMonitor application performance in production and support root-cause analysis of performance incidentsBuild and maintain performance testing frameworks, tools, and dashboardsIntegrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelinesEstablish performance baselines and track regressions over timeProvide actionable recommendations to improve scalability, throughput, latency, and resource utilizationDocument findings and communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersRequired QualificationsSolid performance testing fundamentalsStrong NeoLoad UI experience, including managing populations, scenarios and test data managementSolid understanding of web and distributed systems (HTTP, APIs, microservices, caching, queues)Experience analyzing system metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network, latency, throughput) and troubleshooting issuesProficiency in at least one scripting language (JavaScript preferred)Understands CI/CD and modern architecturesGood understanding of APM tools (Dynatrace, DataDog)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsConfident with correlation & test dataExperience building and maintaining dashboardsPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platformsExperience building a new performance testing strategy from the ground upExperience performance-testing large-scale consumer applicationsKnowledge of database performance tuning (SQL and/or NoSQL)Experience working in Agile or DevOps environmentsWhat Success Looks LikePerformance issues are identified early, before reaching productionClear performance benchmarks and metrics guide engineering decisionsApplications scale predictably and meet user experience expectations under loadEngineering teams proactively consider performance as part of design and deliveryPrivacy StatementFIS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process in order to provide services to our clients.
