Summary: The inside sales representative sells to and services new and existing accounts. The position is also responsible for providing product information, technical support, resolving issues and processing orders in a timely and accurate manner while projecting a professional company image through phone interaction.The ideal candidate must be comfortable identifying customer needs and requirements, providing solutions, and closing sales.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the followingAnswer incoming calls from customers and team members; process orders accurately into computer; utilizes sales techniques to up-sell by informing customers of promotions, specials, new products, and programs; verifies customers’ orders and designates shipment methodProcessing customer orders/quotes in a timely and profitable manner Attract potential customers by answering product questions, Recommend alternate products that benefit the end user and promote add on sales while increasing cross category penetrationDevelop strong customer relationships by developing credibility and trust as well as being knowledgeableOpen customer accounts by collecting appropriate information, paperwork and recording it in the database as well as entering customer updates (i.e., phone number changes, delivery schedule, special requests)Resolve customer complaints, determining the cause, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction, follow up to ensure resolution.Takes customer requests for credits and returns, provides customer return authorizationsAssisting in managing the Customer Service shared inbox Make outbound calls to existing customers promoting current offers, call on all backorders for add-ons prior to shippingFollow up calls on previously placed orders and/or replacement ordersMeet personal/team sales targets and call handling quotasParticipates in staff, in-house and vendor educational meetings; increases knowledge of products and updates and maintains reference tools Tracking loss sales of products for monthly review by purchasing and management Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policiesOccasionally attend tradeshows and outside sales calls when requiredBack up other departments as neededOther duties as assignedSkills / Trainings / Certifications / DegreesStrong phone and communication skillsAbility to use PC and learn other company softwareAbility to type 30 wpmPrefer Bi-LingualCompetenciesProven experience as an order entry specialist, or similar position, with experience in customer service or related fieldsExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entryStrong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneouslyStrong communication and customer service skills to build positive relationships with customersAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Education and /or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAt least 3yrs. of prior customer service experience1 yr. inside sales experience preferredPrefer Door Hardware and/or Safe Lock knowledgeLockmaster, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
