Human Resources Manager

Job Responsibilities Partner with Plant Manager or Business Unit Leader in theplanning and implementation of human resources objectivesand initiatives for the site(s) Advise Plant management and Corporate HR onorganizational and team member issues and recommendneeded changes Manage enforcement and administration of appropriatepolicies, procedures, practices, and programs for effectivemanagement of people resources in compliance withcompany policies and applicable legislation Lead management and administration of other HumanResource Support Functions Including Payroll, Compensationand benefits, performance management, organizationaldevelopment and succession planning, jobEvaluation/descriptions, Awards And Recognition, Companyclothing, communications, social activities, andpublic/community relations Perform difficult staffing duties, including resolution of staffingissues, investigation of disputes, team member termination,and administering corrective action procedures Establish positive team member relations practices andinitiatives to drive site team member engagement Lead administration of collective bargaining agreementincluding grievance handling and negotiations in representedsettings Manage and coordinate HR acquisition and placementactivities including staffing strategy, planning, hiring, EEO,and employment practices for both hourly and salariedemployment. Identify staff vacancies within the plant andrecruit, interview, and select applicants. Manage the design, development, implementation, andcompletion of numerous programs, projects, and activities toensure team members are educated, trained, and developed.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in BusinessAdministration, HR Management, or related disciplineRequired Human Resources Certification preferredYears of Experience: 5-10 years Human Resources experience in amanufacturing environment 2+ years Human Resources leadership experience Employee/Labor Relations experience Experience with talent management, includingrecruitment, performance management, and employeedevelopment Experience in project management, change management,and conflict management/resolutionOther Requirements: Regular and predictable attendance required Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may berequired as workload or projects dictate, includingweekends and holidaysKEY COMPETENCIES Knowledge of principles and procedures for teammember recruitment, selection, training, compensationand benefits, employee/labor relations and negotiation,and human resource information systems (HRIS) Knowledge of business and management principlesinvolved in strategic staff planning, resource allocation,human resources modeling, leadership techniques,production methods, and coordination of people andresources
