Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled Controller to oversee all financial aspects of our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Controller is expected to be highly motivated, have a sense of urgency, skilled at building a cohesive construction team, organized and detailed individual to serve as an integral member to the company. Other duties may be assigned.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting financial informationPrepare daily journal entries and general ledger account reconciliationsPrepare and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management reports accurately and in a timely mannerPrepare variance analysis to budget and forecastSupport in compilation of annual and periodic budget informationEmployee expense report processingComplete monthly cash flow analysisPerform daily routines and month end proceduresManage the accounting for inventory, accounts receivable and payablesMaintain overall responsibility for accounts payable, receivable and payrollHandle construction accounting, costs, progress billing, AIA invoicing, draws, revenue recognition, lien releases, notice to owners, change orders and job costingManage licenses, registrations, certifications, insurances and contractsPrepares credit applications, maintains account list and account filesRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role- In-depth knowledge of financial concepts, construction accounting and practices- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping- Excellent financial acumen and forecasting skillsIf you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for finance and possess the required skills, we invite you to apply for this challenging position.
