Medical Billing Coordinator
Job Description: Responsible for accurate, detailed, and thorough medical billing processesWorking in coordination with the team Lead, the Supervisor and ManagementThe coordinator will work collaboratively with patients and office team members to ensure that billing practices are complete and accuratePerform duties as assigned in a professional demeanor, which includes interacting with insurance plans, clinics, patients, and team members as neededMaintain current information on correct and lawful practices for billing payersParticipate in the daily RCM processes, monitoring for accurate and timely completion of team dutiesMaintain up to date information on RCM process with National SOPs, processes, and policiesUtilize all available job aids, websites, programs, and resources providedSupport leadership with daily, weekly, monthly reporting needs as requiredMaintain department daily productivity goals in completing a set number of accounts while also meeting quality standards as determined by leadershipIdentify and communicate with Team Lead / Supervisor any issues including system access, payor behavior, account work-flow inconsistencies or any other RCM related opportunitiesOther duties as neededRequirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredMinimum of two years of medical facility or medical office billing experienceAbility to work both in a team environment and independentlyExperience utilizing Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and TeamsExperience with automated billing systems preferredKnowledgeable of full revenue cycle processes, with insurance companies, Medicare and MedicaidStrong attention to detailDemonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of cultureBenefits: medicaldentalvisionAD&Dshort and long-term disabilitylife insurance401k retirement savings with employer matchpaid parental leavepaid time offholiday payEmployee Assistance Program
