Role Description The Director of Philanthropy for the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts is a full-time, on-site role located in Melbourne, FL. This position is responsible for leading fundraising efforts for the college, including designing and implementing strategies for major and planned gifts, cultivating donor relationships, and overseeing annual giving programs. The Director will conduct in-depth prospect research, ensure effective stewardship of donors, and work closely with university leadership to align philanthropic goals with institutional priorities. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will be essential to advance the college's mission. Qualifications Experience in Planned Giving and Philanthropy to develop and manage long-term giving strategies.Demonstrated expertise in Annual Giving and Prospect Research to identify and engage potential donors effectively.Strong skills in Stewardship to maintain and enhance donor relationships through meaningful recognition and engagement.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Proven ability to lead and execute successful fundraising campaigns.Strong understanding of the higher education and/or nonprofit sector is preferred.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree is desirable.Ability to travel occasionally and availability to attend events outside regular business hours as needed.
