Cyber Security Specialist with IT Experience

SoftInWay Inc. is recruiting an innovative Cyber Security Specialist. This individual will be responsible for IT and cybersecurity activities related to business processes. This position requires 5 years cyber security experience. Responsibilities: Security Provide CMMC security support or assist SoftInWay’s CMMC Security contractor Work with vendors and staff to complete a variety of IT security maintenance tasks, including: Email security, firewall security, cloud services security, multi-factor authentication, keeping respective records as per CMMC requirements Lead cybersecurity auditing and compliance-related activities, including threat detection and response Understand and configure encryption technologies Oversee the cybersecurity of our computing assets, including all laptops, desktops (including remote maintenance), and server infrastructure IT Support Provide general IT support to SoftInWay’s staff and, when needed, diagnose and troubleshoot computer and network issues Install and update company software and hardware as needed Work with IT equipment vendors to coordinate replacements/purchase of hardware components or entire computers Travel to local IT vendors Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment Help with onboarding and offboarding of employees, including installation of all new technology for the company or for new hires (e.g., computer operating systems, software programs, and applications) Implement and maintain an asset management system through data entry, keeping it up to date for all assets and services through their life cycle Perform local cyber security officer and system administrator duties to ensure staff have appropriate system access Advanced knowledge and understanding of software applications used by the team Requirements and Skills: College-level coursework in computer science or related field Experience replacing hardware components or assembling new computers Experience setting up routers, modems, and network infrastructure Experience managing software/hardware inventory Experience managing IT projects from the planning phase to the implementation 5+ years of cybersecurity or IT security experience is required Experience with cloud security is preferred Security certification and/or training is required Working experience with CMMC security protocols is preferred AO/EE Employer Job Type: Full-Time Work on-site in Burlington, MA Job Type: FT
