Heavy-Duty Truck Parts SpecialistThis position will handle the daily parts ordering, stock orders and determine shipping timeline, quantity needed, stocking shelves and overall day-to-day parts tasks associated in a heavy-duty truck and trailer shop.Essential DutiesOperate safely and compliance with all established HSSE policies and proceduresGenerate purchase orders for part orderingResearch, request and order parts needed for specific job(s)Receive and check-in inventory to reconcile product ordered versus product receivedCheck invoice against quote received for parts orderedMaintain, organize, and stock parts roomsIssue parts to shop personnel upon requestConduct quarterly inventory of partsAbility to pick up and deliver parts and any related DMV document servicesWill purchase parts for required repairs on Delta Western equipmentAssist in the wash bay and help the Shop with other duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)High school diploma or GED equivalent.One to two years parts experience in the trucking industry preferredValid AK driver's licenseKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesMust be personable and able to communicate effectively to employees and sub-contractorsBasic math skills necessary to generate an estimate and maintain maintenance recordsData entry and 10-key and intermediate computer skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced shop environmentTreats people with respect; keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational valuesStrong customer service with a high level of attention detail and accuracyGood working knowledge of computer related software and search enginesPossess excellent communication skills, verbal, written, listening skillsExcellent organizational skills, including the ability to work with other departments and organizations and handle multiple projects concurrentlySelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing prioritiesBenefitsWe're committed to taking care of you and your family, today and in the future.Here's what you can look forward to:Compensation Competitive hourly rate: $23.90 - $37.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualificationsHealth & Wellness Employer subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family/dependents.Employer?paid life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), and short?term and long-term disability coverageRetirement Generous 401(k) plan with a 4% company matchPaid Time Off 2 weeks' vacation annually7 company holidays7 days of sick leave annuallyExtras that Make a Difference Up to $5,250 per year in tax-free educational assistance to assist with career development and growthAnnual boot reimbursementDepartmental, Product & OEM trainingWorking EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
