Quality Technician
Quality TechnicianThe Quality Technician is responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and compliance of components and assemblies in the aerospace supply chain. This individual will take ownership of customer-facing quality activities, advanced inspections, and data-driven quality improvements. The Quality Technician serves as a liaison with customers, supports root-cause correct actions, and ensures adherence to stringent aerospace standards, contributing significantly to operational excellence and regulatory compliance.What You'll Do (Responsibilities):Manager and resolve internal events generated from customers' complaints and suppliers' non-conformances to ensure part acceptanceSupport operations, ensuring compliance with AS9100, AS9120, AS9102 standardsSupport the team in providing detailed root-cause analysis and develop corrective and preventative action plans for non-conformities, driving continuous improvement in quality processAct as a point of contact for customer interactions, addressing quality-related inquiries, resolving issuesManage Material Review Board (MRB) processes to evaluate and disposition non-conforming materials and coordinate Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes to address customer returns efficientlyMentor and train Quality Inspectors, fostering a culture of quality excellence and adherence to standardsKeep work areas clean and organized, following 5S workplace standardsFollow safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training to prevent workplace hazardsOther duties as assignedWhat You Bring (Qualifications & Skills):High school diploma or equivalent5+ years of experience in quality inspection or similar role within the Aerospace industry with advanced knowledge of engineering drawings and specification systems1+ years of experience of reviewing supplier's certification packageWorks effectively under minimal supervision and contributes to team effortsLeadership and mentoring skills to support peers to enhance team performanceStrong analytical skills for root cause analysis and process optimizationCollaborates seamless with cross-functional teams, customers and auditorsAnalyzes complex issues and develops effective corrective and preventative strategiesWillingness to adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures under supervisionSpecial Requirements:U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.ITAR requirement120.15.
