Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Motley, MNM-F 7:30-3:30pm Seasonal (May-October)Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for the overall maintenance of the homes and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community we care for.This is a non-exempt, full-time, seasonal position.Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or olderClear background checkCurrent driver’s license without restrictions and ability to be insured under Artesian Home’s insurance policyHigh school diploma or equivalent required1-2 years building maintenance preferredSelf-starter dedicated to continual quality improvementAbility to work with minimal supervisionRequired to reach, and use fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, and controlsRequired to walk, sit, stand, bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move continually during working hoursKnowledge of general construction equipment and operationAbility to move quicklyAttention to detail regarding upkeep of the facilityAbility to multitaskAbility to haul and back up trailers.Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. Chain of Command: The Maintenance position reports to the Facilities ManagerJob Responsibilities (In addition to the KRAs):Coordinate with supervisor to complete projects and work orders efficiently Minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting Perform preventative HVAC maintenance work Repair locking systems on doors and cabinets Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments Perform regular preventative maintenance and services to appliances and vehicles Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform maintenance and service Travel from site to site to inspect facilities, buildings, and grounds for routine maintenance Load and deliver furniture Help move the persons we serve Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area Grounds work including but not limited to: mowing lawn, yard maintenance, brush removal, tree trimming, weed whipping and spraying etc.Perform pest and weed controlPick up litter, debris and keep the ground healthyPlanting and laying mulchOther duties as assignedGeneralized skills:Ability to work independently with little direction.
