Warehouse Zone Lead - 2nd Shift

DescriptionMeyer Distributing is looking for a Zone Lead to join our Jasper team.The Zone Lead will be responsible for leading a 10-member crew and ensuring that transfer trailers depart on time with the highest quality and consistency. The Zone lead must possess effective delegation skills and be a servant leader, constantly monitoring their zone and ensuring smooth operations.PayUp to $25/hr based on experience.ScheduleMonday - Thursday: 10:30 am - 8:30 pmFridays: 10:30 am - 8:30 pmSaturdays: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm5 days per week. Will work rotating weeks. Monday - Thursday + Saturday and Monday - Friday.RequirementsAbility to lift up to 75 poundsAbility to engage in repetitive bending and liftingAbility to operate a forklift or a manlift (cherry picker)Must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 monthsMust be able to work up to 25 feet above ground levelMust not be afraid of heightsJob Duties Include But Are Not Limited ToSet the example for perfect attendance and a positive work ethic.Lead daily Tier-1 team huddle.Present daily reports and metrics for the Tier-2 huddle.Ensure the assigned zone is set up correctly (skids, small parts, banding machine, tags, BOLs, etc.) beforebeginning of shiftEnsure the assigned zone is clean at the end of every shift.Effectively manage the team to disperse and stack skids with product.Maintain 5S scoresMaintain and assist in developing SOPsTrain and ensure team members are updated on process changes and document the same.Maintain quality of assigned hardware (Zebra Printers, scanners)Assist the 2nd shift supervisor with associate assessments.Lead team to achieve identified metrics-On time dispatch, LOT, Load Snapshot, FATL, Cartoning %, etc.Monitor team member schedules and assist the 2nd Shift supervisor as necessaryBin management / inventory exceptions/ stock check / check off trucks at the end of each night.All other duties assignedMeyer Distributing is a complete wholesale distributor: automotive, RV/towing, outdoor living, marine, and more.
