Tool Room Coordinator

About the Role As a Tool Room Coordinator, you will serve as the central hub for our manufacturing operations by managing critical inventory and ensuring our production teams have immediate access to the high-precision equipment they need. You will play a vital role in optimizing shop floor efficiency by maintaining tool integrity and streamlining the check-out process for complex machinery components. Responsibilities Manage the lifecycle of industrial tooling, including issuance, retrieval, and systematic tracking of all shop floor assets. Perform rigorous quality inspections on CNC tooling and precision instruments to ensure they meet strict operational tolerances. Coordinate the repair, reconditioning, or replacement of damaged equipment to minimize production downtime. Maintain a highly organized storage system that facilitates rapid retrieval and accurate inventory audits. Monitor stock levels of consumables and tooling, proactively flagging replenishment needs to maintain continuous workflow. Champion a culture of safety and orderliness within the tool crib, ensuring all protocols are strictly followed. Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes and tool accessibility for the production team. Qualifications Required Skills 1-3 years of experience in tool room operations, industrial inventory control, or manufacturing support. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with specialized tool management software and automated dispensing equipment. Strong technical aptitude with hand tools, machine tools, and industrial measurement devices. Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail. Preferred Skills Prior experience in high-precision manufacturing environments such as aerospace or automotive. Familiarity with advanced composite materials and thermoset processing. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical blueprints or engineering specifications. Experience with advanced gauge measurement and tool calibration procedures.
