Network Engineer

Our client is looking to fill a Fulltime Network Engineer role-Department: Information TechnologyLocation: Remote- But must be located in Southern California PCNSE or PCNSA Certification is desired Description of Role: As the backbone of the flow of information in and out of the organization, the network administrator will play a crucial role in helping to maintain and evolve the IT Infrastructure.Duties / Responsibilities:Expertise in network infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.Experience with network security technologies and protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection, VPNs, and network access control services.Identify and remediate network bottlenecks and other issues.Implement and enforce security best practices to protect our networks and infrastructure.Maintain IT Infrastructure with System Administrator (Security, Storage, and VMware environment).Apply upgrades and security patches to all network devices.Create and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases for system documentation, including standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.Evaluate and recommend new solutions, tools, and methodologies to enhance network efficiency, security, and productivity.Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience in network administration.Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.PCNSE or PCNSA Required Skills / Abilities:High attention to detail, proactive, and responsive.In-depth knowledge of network protocols.$100,000 - $125,000 a yearThe annual salary target for this job in this market is $100,000 - $125,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the market demand, education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total salary.
