Maintenance Manager
DescriptionSummary:Responsible for Manufacturing Maintenance Leadership for the Garden Furniture Business Unit in Keter's Portersville / Adams Manufacturing facility. The position will support Manufacturing Operations related to equipment safety, preventative maintenance, repairs, root cause problem solving, and technical skill development of maintenance team. The role will be responsible for the 24-7 maintenance operation and have up to 17 direct reports. In addition, the role will participate in cross-functional continuous improvement projects with the Operations, Engineering and Quality teams.In This Role, You’ll Have The Opportunity ToLead and coach the maintenance team relative to short term and long-term goals, managing the day-to-day activities while planning for long term growth. Further develop each maintenance team member by using the skill-based pay matrix as a roadmap to advance skills and knowledge.Identify and implement safety and environmental improvements.Accountable for maintenance, repairs and reliability of 31 injection molding machines, gantry robots, and all manufacturing secondary equipment.Further develop and coordinate preventative maintenance program for all primary and secondary equipment for injection molding, and assembly. Programs include daily, weekly, and annual maintenance executed by the Adams’ maintenance team and external contractors. Upkeep?Establish, train and implement maintenance standard operating procedures as related to primary and secondary manufacturing equipment in the manufacturing and assembly departments.Manages projects that include new equipment specification and justification, development of new manufacturing methods, machine capability studies, new product launches, equipment moves, machine upgrades and replacement through timelines, status updates and vendor visits as required.Collaborate with the Operation to improve key metrics centered around OEE and quality performance relative to primary and secondary equipment.Drive root cause solutions to improve safety, quality, reliability, mold change and processing as they relate to primary and secondary equipment.Assists with the specification, installation and startup of primary and secondary equipment including injection molding machines, chillers, cranes, etc.RequirementsWhat You Need To Succeed:Safety first approachWorking knowledge of injection molding machines, gantry robots, secondary equipment including chillers, temperature control units, hot runner/valve gate controls, cranes, etc.Root cause problem solving skillsProficient with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshootingCompetent in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.)Project and timeline management skillsRequired Education And Experience5-10 years of hands-on maintenance and maintenance management experience in fast paced manufacturing environmentVendor communication experienceExperience with preventative maintenance systems preferred5-10 years’ experience in injection molding is preferredBachelor’s degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or similar preferred
