Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant Imperial is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support cost accounting, inventory reconciliation, and month-end reporting across our manufacturing operations. This role will be focused on inventory accuracy, cost processes, inventory valuation, cycle count support, and reconciling inventory activity between Deposco and NetSuite. This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional with solid reconciliation skills who is looking to grow into a deeper cost accounting role within a manufacturing environment. This position reports directly to the Controller.What You'll be DoingSupport cost accounting and inventory reconciliation processes across Imperial's plant operationsReconcile inventory activity between Deposco and NetSuite, with a strong focus on inventory accuracyAssist with inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory processesSupport month-end close activities, including cost accounting reports, inventory reporting, and account reconciliationsHelp maintain standard costing processes, including labor rates and other cost inputsResearch and resolve inventory discrepancies by working with finance, inventory, warehouse, and production teamsPrepare reporting related to inventory, cost activity, and manufacturing accountingSupport internal and external audit requests related to inventory, reconciliations, and cost accountingPartner with manufacturing operations as needed to understand inventory movement and production activityFollow established accounting processes, controls, and reporting standardsWhat We Need2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing accountingStrong reconciliation skills with the ability to research discrepancies and maintain accurate financial recordsExperience supporting month-end close, reporting, inventory valuation, cycle counts, or audit requestsERP experience required; NetSuite experience preferredDeposco experience is a plusStrong Excel skills and comfort working with financial and inventory dataManufacturing experience preferred, but not requiredHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, inventory, and production teamsSelf-starter who is eager to grow and develop, while also being able to follow established processes and controlsComfortable working with auditors and providing accurate supporting documentationWillingness to work onsite in Bourbon, with light travel as neededPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand for extended periods of time while working at a computer or workstationAbility to use hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and keyboardsAbility to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via electronic communicationOccasional ability to lift and/or move up to 25 poundsAbility to move throughout the facility, including walking, bending, and reaching as neededVisual acuity sufficient to read screens, documents, and reportsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.Benefits401(k) with company matchHealth care (medical, dental, vision)Employee Assistance ProgramPTO (vacation, personal days, and 9 company holidays)Opportunities for continuing education and professional growthEmployee product discountsFree hatsSince 1916, Imperial has epitomized luxury, authenticity, and individuality by crafting premium headwear, apparel, and accessories with an unwavering dedication to quality and detail.
