Dental Assistant
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and personable Dental Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be team oriented, willing to learn and have a passion for patient care in a high technology modern practice. Main duties would be to provide exceptional patient care and supporting the dentists in a modern specialized dental clinic setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic dental clinic and utilize your skills in general, implant and sports dentistry. Our practice does a mix of general dentistry as well as a lot of implant surgery and providing care to several prominent sports programs in the Louisville area.
Looking for someone to help with our busy schedule and assist a thriving and rewarding practice setting.
Duties:
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and sterilizing equipment.
- Prepare patients for procedures
- Utilize dental software such as Open Dental to manage patient records and schedule appointments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation of patient visits and treatments.
- Operate dental equipment, including 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices.
- Support the team with administrative tasks, including filing and ordering supplies.
- Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a positive and welcoming environment.
- Participate in quality control measures and maintain a clean and organized clinic.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic, chairside assisting with general dentistry and oral surgery procedures
- Familiarity with dental terminology and note documentation.
- Knowledge of dental software preferred
- Experience with medical imaging and 3D scanning devices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Pay: $20.68 - $24.91 per hour
