Aviation Operations Program Manager

Location: Bridgewater, VAPosition Summary: The Operations Program Manager reports to the Vice President of Flight Operations and is responsible for developing and maintaining excellent customer relations; managing company resources and personnel to effectively execute contract activities; ensuring aircraft, equipment, and personnel comply with all applicable laws, standards, and policies; and ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and improvement initiatives are pursued and achieved.Key Responsibilities:Onboard Customers, to include coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (as assigned or appropriate) to schedule meetings, orient and familiarize customers with processes, and ensure all required documentation is accurate, complete, and filedManage Customer Relationships, acting as primary Point of Contact, by regularly communicating with customers to understand their needs and expectations, conducting periodic review meetings, and promptly addressing and resolving any customer concerns or program risksManage Assigned Resources, ensuring staffing levels (partner with HR for recruitment /development /retention needs) and aircraft and equipment meet customer needsCoordinate Team Activity, by scheduling and leading team meetings, assigning tasks and monitoring progress, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environmentMonitor and Manage Team Performance, tracking key performance metrics, ensuring project timelines and key milestones are achieved, and analyzing data to identify trends to provide regular reports and improvement recommendations to leadershipEnsure Compliance and Manage Risk, ensuring operations comply with relevant regulations and company standards by anticipating and identifying operational risks, developing mitigation strategies, and coordinating with the Quality/Safety team to conduct regular audits to validate complianceOptimize Processes, by analyzing current operational processes, identifying improvement areas, then developing and implementing improvement and waste reducing initiatives, and monitoring and adjusting strategies based on impacts to processes and businessEstablish Team Goals which align with strategic goals, leading your team to develop action plans to achieve or exceed key metrics, and monitor progress and adjust plans as neededDevelop Assigned Team Members by providing leadership and clear direction, performing scheduled and unscheduled visits to operational locations, conducting regular performance reviews, providing feedback, identifying training needs, and facilitating professional development opportunities and personal growthManage Initiatives, leading and managing strategic initiatives and projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation, and tracking project progress and report on outcomesResolve Conflicts within the team, mediating disputes and providing support as needed, and implementing strategies to prevent future conflictsSupport Accounting Team by ensuring monthly charges are properly captured, monthly invoices are reviewed, approved, and distributed to customers, and quickly addressing and resolving any discrepanciesAssist in Developing Business by collaborating with Business Development to conduct customer research, understand customer trends and needs, identify opportunities for growth and development, and providing recommendations based on research findingsOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with external or internal stakeholders across the organizationDemonstrate proven ability to be an effective team leader, able to adapt their leadership and communication styles to lead a diverse group with varied backgrounds and skill setsBe able to properly prioritize project activity, effectively communicate and manage deadlines, and perform well under pressure in dynamic conditionsBe proficient in Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, etc.) and able to quickly learn personnel and finance information systemsBe willing to regularly work outside of regular business hours and on weekends, as customer needs dictateBe willing to occasionally travel for site visitsPreferred Qualifications:Possess proficiency in Dayforce, and Pentagon ERP systemsHave knowledge of or expertise in Lean, and Daily Management GEMBA concepts/systemsPossess minimum five years working as an aircraft pilot or A&P technician (or a combination thereof), and three years minimum supervisory experience
