Terrel Recreation Center is looking for energetic, caring, and creative Camp Counselors to help make summer unforgettable!As a Camp Counselor, you'll be a positive role model and leader for a group of 10-12 awesome campers ages 5-12, guiding them through exciting days filled with laughter, learning, and adventure in both indoor and outdoor nature-based settings. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.Instruction of arts and crafts, games, nature education and other outdoor related activities.Act as a role model; provide first aid; ensure the safety of children and complete necessary forms and reports.Plan and coordinate activities with the Day Camp Director; assistance in other parks and recreation programs as needed, including the Allen USA Celebration.Job RequirementsEducation & ExperienceWork requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:Less than a High School Diploma or equivalent with no prior work experience.Must have a desire to work with children and be able to work all eleven weeks of summer camp.
