Senior Staff Accountant - Hybrid

Senior Staff Accountant/AnalystFort Worth, TX – hybrid/remote - super flexible on days in office (people live all over the metroplex, usually go in when CFO is in town/board meetings)One of Vaco's private equity backed distribution clients is looking to onboard an Accountant/Analyst due to continued growth of the organization. Accountants will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting and budgeting forecasting for one of the divisions in America. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, the ability to manage multiple entities, and a proactive mindset in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.The company offers great perks including unlimited PTO, super flexible scheduling, and a hyper growth environment. Compensation: $85-90K + bonusDay-to-dayManage full-cycle accounting including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and intercompany transactionsPerform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliationsAnalyze financial results and investigate variancesPrepare monthly property financial statements and supporting schedulesDeliver timely and accurate reporting packages to internal stakeholders and asset management teamsAssist with budget vs. actual analysis and forecasting supportSupport revenue recognition in accordance with GAAPMaintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculationsSupport external audits, lender reporting, and tax preparation processesEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policiesAssist with internal controls and process improvementsIdentify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiencyParticipate in system implementations or enhancements as the company scalesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance1-3+ years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reportingExperience with inventory is a big plusAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
