The role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, supporting governance frameworks, and enabling regulatory and compliance reporting, including OFAC-related processes.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across multiple data platformsSupport and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and controlsDevelop and maintain regulatory reports in line with compliance requirementsWrite and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reportingWork closely with compliance teams on OFAC (sanctions screening) processesIdentify data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including risk, compliance, and technologyMaintain proper documentation for data lineage, definitions, and governance standardsRequired SkillsStrong experience in Data Quality and Data GovernanceAdvanced SQL (complex queries, joins, CTEs, performance tuning)Experience in Regulatory Reporting within banking or financial servicesKnowledge of OFAC, AML, KYC, or sanctions screening processesExperience in data issue investigation and root cause analysisStrong understanding of data lineage, metadata, and data controlsAbility to work with cross-functional teams including compliance and riskPreferred SkillsExperience with TeradataExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, or DataprocExperience with OpenShift / OCP environmentsExposure to enterprise data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, etc.)Banking domain experience (Wells Fargo or similar large financial institutions)Ideal Candidate Profile8–15+ years of experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, or Data AnalyticsStrong SQL development background in enterprise environmentsExperience working in regulated banking or financial services environmentsFamiliar with compliance-driven data ecosystems and reporting frameworks
