Join an industry-leading team in Austin!Position SummaryThe Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) Gas Engineering Team Lead role is focused on leading an engineering team that comprehensively owns, maintains, supports, and improves specialty and bulk gas equipment within a high-tech manufacturing environment.This position leads the engineering team and ensures effective collaboration with operations and maintenance teams, as well as customer groups, to provide world-class equipment performance in the supply of gases supporting manufacturing production.This role is also responsible for supporting the planning, construction, startup, and commissioning of new equipment, as well as the development and execution of projects to improve safety, quality, and reliability.Role And ResponsibilitiesHere’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:Lead and directly manage a small team of approximately 9 engineers.Lead and participate in safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world-class safety performance.Provide technical expertise and ownership for gas systems, safety and quality standards, and continuous improvement efforts. The engineer will interact with operations teams, maintenance teams, construction teams, and equipment vendors to sustain and maintain equipment.Support technical troubleshooting of emergent equipment issues.Work with maintenance teams to plan and execute non-standard equipment maintenance to address failures or implement equipment improvements.Communicate and coordinate with engineering groups to provide technical support, supply issue resolution, and collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability.Continually drive team culture toward greater learning, development, engagement, and overall job satisfaction.Skills And QualificationsHere's What You'll Need:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.Minimum of 6 years of direct operations experience related to gas and/or chemical supply systems, or equipment that utilizes gases and/or chemicals for manufacturing processes.Semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or industrial facility support experience preferred, with an emphasis on safety and hazardous process materials.Direct leadership and management experience is strongly preferred.Compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, education, technical expertise, and location.
