About the EmployerLocated in the greater Redding area, the Mountain Valley Special Education JPA is a consortium of 13 small school districts and one charter school that was created to provide a broader continuum of services for students with disabilities.Job Summary$10,000 sign on bonus.Permanent position starts 2025/2026 School YearTo provide itinerant occupational therapy and services that includes assessment, development of IEP goals and plans, and directs therapy to assist students is acquiring functional and independent life skills. Works with special education teams and provides consultation and training to school personnel and families.PERS retirement, prorated benefits availablePositions are itinerant and work hours are FLEXIBLE during school hours.Part time OR Full TimeMileage reimbursement and cell phone stipend provided. See our website www.mvjpa.com for schools that we serve.Year for year experience credit for placement on salary schedule.You don't have to work evening, weekends or holidays, and you get the summer off.Requirements / QualificationsComments and Other InformationWork Hours: Flexible ; generally 7:30am - 4:00pm depending on site assignmentThis is an itinerant position, must be able to travel between worksites and have a working vehiclePaid mileage between sitesCell phone stipendAttendance bonusAs a recruitment incentive, a fully licensed OT shall be granted a sum of up to ten thousand dollars ($10,000). 1st half ($5000) to be paid in the first paycheck and 2nd half ($5,000) to be paid at the end of the 2nd school year providing the employee is in active paid status at the time of the final school year paycheck. Bonus and benefits prorated for part time positions. Bonus is prorated for less than 8 hrs/day. May only receive one sign-on bonus from the MVJPA or its member districts. Cannot receive two bonuses from two different districts within the JPA. SLPs that hired through an agency are not eligible for the bonus.This is an itinerant position; You will be traveling to different school sites within Shasta County.Mileage will be paid at the IRS rate.Cell phone stipend to be paid at $50/month.
