Job SummaryThe Structure Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site coordination for all phases of Heavy Civil construction projects. This includes coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.ResponsibilitiesJOB DESCRIPTIONInstall sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systemsLay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisorCut pipes to required lengthsAssist in aligning pipes during pipeline constructionAlign and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealingCheck slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasersConnect pipe pieces and seal jointsGrade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand toolsTrain others in pipe-laying techniquesQualifications3-5 years experience preferredEducational requirements: High school/ GED and previous construction experience preferredJob is physically intense and requires shoveling, bending, stooping, and carrying over 50lbsAbility to effectively work with all levels of personnel and management.Self-motivated and able to work productively with minimal supervision.Must have a valid Nebraska driver’s license.
