It serves as a critical framework for enhancing information security and safeguarding government data.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Lead Cloud Security Engineer role based in the Washington DC area. The Lead Cloud Security Engineer will oversee the implementation and maintenance of robust security protocols for cloud-based environments in compliance with FedRAMP® standards. Daily responsibilities include assessing cloud infrastructure for vulnerabilities, designing and implementing security measures, managing risk assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud platforms meet stringent security requirements.QualificationsStrong skills in Application Security and Security Engineering to design and implement secure cloud applications and frameworks.Proficiency in Network Security and Cybersecurity for monitoring, protecting, and safeguarding data against internal and external threats.Experience in Information Security to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.Solid understanding of FedRAMP® guidelines and their application to cloud security strategies.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders effectively.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related fieldIndustry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security are highly advantageous.
