Equipment Maintenance
Position SummaryThe Equipment Maintenance technician performs repairs physical plan equipment in an industrial recycling environment. Duties include diagnosing and repairing all mechanical and electrical maintenance issues associated with maintaining production machinery and equipment throughout the facility.Essential ResponsibilitiesInstalls and repairs control panels and associated components, motor control circuits, building and lighting circuits.Diagnoses electrical systems, circuit breakers and low voltage power distribution systems, AC/DC motors, PLC and VFD drive systems.Performs preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems of the production and physical plant equipment.Reads electrical/mechanical and schematic drawings to maintain equipment in a safe working manner in accordance with appropriate codes and ordinances.Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment, air compressors, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, gear boxes, and air handler units.Operate shop machinery, drill press, laths, milling machine and hand tools.Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.The statements used herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by an employee in this position and are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required by an incumbent so classified.
