Across 275+ stores, distribution centers, and our Store Support Center, hiring at scale relies on strong systems, smart processes, and clear execution.Your Work MattersAs the Business Development Manager, you’ll lead the team responsible for opening doors, building relationships, and expanding Floor & Decor’s commercial footprint in markets that continue to evolve and grow. This is more than managing pipelines and sales activity — it’s about helping businesses, contractors, and commercial partners find reliable solutions while building a scalable growth engine behind one of the fastest-growing brands in the industry.Your Day Consists OfLeading, mentoring, and developing Business Development Representatives to ensure consistent achievement of growth, pipeline creation, and account engagement goalsConducting regular performance reviews, providing coaching, and ensuring adherence to effective prospecting, research, and territory strategy practicesDriving adoption and disciplined use of Salesforce CRM, ensuring data accuracy and pipeline integrityBuilding and executing commercial market growth strategies across key verticalsDeveloping strategy playbooks for new market penetration, account qualification, and customer expansionReviewing team pipelines, forecasting accuracy, and opportunity progression to meet or exceed revenue targetsServing as the liaison between Business Development Managers and Regional Account Managers, Operations, Support, and Sales LeadershipPartnering with merchandising, logistics, and operations to ensure commercial customer expectations are metEnsuring alignment between inside-sales-driven efforts and field executionOverseeing market research activities conducted by the team and synthesizing insights into actionable growth strategiesMonitoring competitor strategies, customer feedback, and emerging commercial construction trends to help shape strategic decisionsSupporting Business Development Managers in developing relationships with key decision-makers at target accountsAttending strategic customer meetings and assisting with major presentations, escalations, and negotiationsYou’ll Be Successful With5–7+ years of business development, sales leadership, or account management experience, ideally within commercial flooring, building materials, construction, or related industriesProven success leading high-performing sales or business development teams in growth-focused environmentsStrong coaching, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the businessExperience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and customer engagementThe ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive insights to shape strategic action plansA collaborative leadership style that balances accountability, relationship-building, and operational executionPhysical/Sensory RequirementsMedium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
