Summary The objective of the Senior Regulatory Analyst is to play a crucial role in ensuring that operations are conducted in a manner that is both compliant with regulations governing water treatment, disposal, and reuse. Proven track record of facilitating the permitting process for produced water recycling projects. Stays updated on changes in RRC policy and regulations with an industry's best practice mindset to effectively perform their duties.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate permit and rule requirements to teams prior to upcoming operations to ensure complianceCompile and submit W-1 permit applications, GAU and SWR 13 Exceptions, Completion Reports, Plugging Reports, UIC Permit applications, and other regulatory permits and reportsProvide timely guidance to teams on permitting and operating requirements to ensure compliance during ongoing operationsWork with various teams to resolve operation and production-related compliance issues, including inactive well complianceDocument all activities in existing, and/or assist in developing new, compliance tracking and execution-assurance systems to provide transparency to internal and external team membersDevelop business relationships with TCEQ, University Lands at regulatory agencies to ensure knowledge of the rules and complianceCritical Infrastructure filings and City of Midland permitting after TexNet UIC H-5, H-10, H-9, FAA, W-3, W-3A and R-2 reporting, P-5 Operator Renewals, and mastery of recycled/and or produced water industry, specifically Rule 8Assist in preparing and submitting forms including, but not limited to, W1, W-2, GAU, W-15, SWR 13, CID, TCEQ Tier II, Environmental EP1, EP2, EP3 and Waste Management WH-3, EP-9, EP-10 reportQualificationsBachelor's degree, STEM preferred, degree requiredMinimum of 10 years of oil and gas experience, drilling/completions experience preferredAbility to interpret regulatory requirements based on knowledge of oil and gas field operationsStrong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Industry-specific applications; SQL desirableSkilled at communicating clearly and concisely both orally and in writingHighly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environmentExcellent organization and time management skillsStrong ethics, service attitude, team playerMust have excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointExcellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritizeAbility to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlinesWilling to work after hours as needed to meet deadlinesContinuing development in functional/technical skillsAdapts well to changes in responsibilities and workloadsGood problem-solving and time-management skills.Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and work effectively in a team-oriented environmentComfortable in a dynamic, start-up environmentExperience within the Midland Basin is preferredFamiliar with oilfield terminology and operationsFamiliar with RRC, TexNet, STEERS and TCEQThis role may require travel of up to 20%, including occasional overnight travel
