Part-time position, 20-30 hours per weekWhile professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.Job SummaryThe Accounting Clerk position is responsible for supporting the finance department by processing accounts receivable, maintaining records, and preparing routine reports that help management track financial and operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare Bill of Lading paperworkPrepare and send customer invoicesRecord incoming payments and apply to customer accounts.Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue balances.Maintain accurate customer account records and support cash-receipt reporting.Enter daily financial transactions such as receipts, disbursements, and journal entries.Maintain organized digital and physical financial files for audits and compliance.Prepare routine financial summaries such as aging reports, payment logs, and transaction listings.Support month-end and year-end close by verifying data and resolving discrepancies.Provide documentation and reports needed by accountants, auditors, or management.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
