Accounting Consultant II
Job Description:Own and execute critical day-to-day accounting and reporting activitiesPrepare and support financial statements (GAAP and statutory), including related schedules and disclosuresPerform financial consolidations, ensuring accuracy and proper elimination of intercompany transactionsMaintain and analyze general ledger activity, ensuring transactions are recorded appropriatelyPrepare journal entries, account analyses, and variance explanations to support the monthly closeExecute and review account reconciliations, including those involving complex accounting processesValidate system functionality and ensure accounting rules and processes operate correctlyAnalyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide actionable insightsCollaborate cross-functionally with multiple finance teams and business unitsContribute to and lead process improvement and transformation initiativesRequirements:Required CPA or CPA-eligible (actively pursuing or completed educational requirements)Experience with financial reporting and general ledger accountingStrong understanding of how financial statements are constructed and interrelatedKnowledge of accounting principles and transaction flowsAbility to work independently while managing multiple prioritiesPreferred 2+ years of relevant accounting experienceConsolidations experience in a multi-entity environmentBenefits:Technology setup including laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouseMonthly connectivity reimbursement for work from homeOpportunities for professional developmentFlexible working environment
