Travel RN - Med/Surg - Wound/Ostomy Care

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Wound Care position requiring prior travel experience, a WCC certification, and at least 3 years of experience.Job Details• Hospital-based Wound Care unit,• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM),• Every 3rd weekend required,• Patient ratio of 1:6,• Charting in Cerner (required),• Work involves a wide range of wound care, ostomy management, and continence care cases,Job Requirements• Active RN license - MD state license or compact license required,• Current certifications: BLS and WCC required; ACLS and WOCN preferred,• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required,• Prior travel nursing experience required,• Hospital work setting experience required,• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required,• Core wound care skills required: ostomy/colostomy/ileostomy care and management, continence skin care management, wound vac therapy, pressure ulcer staging, and wound/ulcer assessment and management,• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration,• Driver's license required for consideration,Additional Information• Responsibilities include wound assessment and treatment, ostomy care and patient teaching, continence evaluation, and skin integrity management,• Preferred experience includes charge nurse background, teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I or II settings,• Preferred skills include sharp/mechanical debridement, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, electrical stimulation, biofeedback, urodynamics, and advanced stoma management techniques,• Candidates who have previously worked for MedStar must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment,• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a different rate - contact your recruiter for details,• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract,• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront and cannot be changed once under review,• Candidates may only be submitted to one MedStar location at a time,
