Job Overview
The Water Mitigation Technician plays a critical front-line role, responding to emergency property damage caused by water. Working as part of a field team, the Technician is responsible for stabilizing the situation, preserving property, and delivering excellent service to customers during stressful events. Key Responsibilities
Assessment of Water Damage: Technicians begin by evaluating the extent of water damage in affected areas. This includes identifying the source of the water intrusion and determining the necessary steps for mitigation.
Emergency Response: Act as the first responder to water damage incidents, providing timely and effective mitigation services to prevent further damage to residential and commercial properties.
Equipment Handling: Set up and operate equipment for water extraction, drying, and dehumidification. This includes loading and unloading vehicles with necessary tools and supplies.
Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company standards and customer satisfaction.
Mold Prevention and Remediation: Technicians must monitor for mold growth and take appropriate measures to prevent it, which may include applying antimicrobial treatments.
Repair and Restoration: They may also be involved in minor repairs, such as replacing drywall, flooring, or insulation that has been damaged by water.
Documentation and Reporting: Technicians document the mitigation process, including the extent of damage, actions taken, and any materials used. This documentation is often required for insurance claims.
Client Communication: They serve as the primary point of contact for clients, explaining the mitigation process, addressing concerns, and providing updates throughout the project.

What You Will Do
Respond to emergency service calls including water extraction and property stabilization.
Protect and preserve customer property using industry-standard equipment and techniques.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
Set up, monitor, and break down drying equipment per IICRC standards.
Maintain clean and organized vehicles, tools, and workspaces.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, supervisors, and teammates on the scope of work and next steps.
Document job progress with photos, notes, and moisture readings in the company’s systems.
Assist with demolition and controlled removal of affected building materials when needed.
Follow job site instructions with minimal supervision while remaining flexible and adaptable.
Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as required.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 55.0 per week
