You will ensure safe, efficient, and punctual transportation while maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition. Your role is key to supporting the smooth operation of hotel staff logistics and ensuring employees can perform their duties efficiently.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesTransportation of Staff & Management:Safely transport hotel staff and management between designated locations, including local meetings, training sessions, events, or other hotel-related business.Ensure timely arrivals and departures, coordinating schedules with hotel management to ensure that employees arrive at their destinations on time.Assist with transporting staff to and from offsite events, conferences, or other work-related venues.Provide comfortable, safe, and secure transport for hotel personnel, adhering to traffic laws and hotel policies at all times.Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:Regularly inspect the vehicle for safety, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., first aid kit, water, etc.).Perform routine maintenance checks, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and vehicle cleanliness, and report any issues that require attention to the supervisor.Ensure the vehicle is parked and stored properly, following hotel security protocols, and locked when not in use.Keep up with vehicle registration, insurance, and safety compliance, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date.Logistics & Coordination:Coordinate with hotel management or department heads to understand transportation needs, adjusting schedules as required for business demands.Assist with delivering materials, documents, or supplies to various areas of the hotel or external locations.Maintain records of trips, including mileage, fuel usage, and any relevant notes on the vehicle's condition or incident reports.Assist with shuttle arrangements for hotel events, ensuring that transportation logistics are organized and efficient.Emergency Preparedness:Be prepared to act in case of emergencies, whether due to a breakdown, weather conditions, or staff health-related issues.Ensure that you have necessary emergency supplies in the vehicle, including a mobile phone, first-aid kit, and emergency contact information.Adherence to Policies & Procedures:Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines while operating the vehicle.Ensure that the vehicle is operated in compliance with all local traffic laws, regulations, and hotel safety standards.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when transporting sensitive materials or information. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.Previous experience as a driver, chauffeur, or in a related field is preferred, particularly in a hotel or hospitality environment.Knowledge of the local area and traffic patterns is beneficial.Skills/Specialized Knowledge Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and punctuality.Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with hotel staff and management.Strong time management skills, with the ability to adhere to tight schedules and adjust as necessary.Ability to handle various transportation-related tasks, including navigating different routes and accommodating last-minute changes.Physical Demands Ability to sit for extended periods while driving, with occasional physical tasks (e.g., loading/unloading supplies).Ability to assist with the loading or unloading of small packages, luggage, or materials (up to 30 lbs).Ability to navigate urban and rural routes, handle varying weather conditions, and ensure passenger comfort.Why Join Proper HospitalityAt Proper, we build experiences that move people — and that begins with the team behind them.
