Assembler/Kitter (First Shift)Responsible for assembling various documents and/or customer provided materials into completed kitsResponsibilities:Perform pre-assembly duties such as; prepping boxes, stocking assembly area, gathering materials, and organizing work areaFollow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work, collating materials as necessaryPick and package a variety of printed materials or related items that require a variety of packing procedures and techniques.Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping in accordance with customer specificationsCount and sort inventory as requiredMay prepare shipments of customer samples.Train others in new processes and lean methodologiesOther duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or GED preferredPrior warehouse or kitting experience preferredMust have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.Must be willing to flex schedule to meet the needs of production, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed.Must be able to use a ladder to pick items or to retrieve boxes or materials.Must be able to stand and move about the facility for long period of timeMust be able to lift, pull and push up to 60 lbs frequentlyShare your expertise and help train other employees as assignedThe pay range for this role at the noted location is $15.65 to $20.20 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include [a sign-on bonus of $X,XXX], overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
