IntroductionMWRD's Internship Program offers paid internship positions. The intern will gain valuable experience with an application development team at a wastewater entity.Responsibilities Include:Learn about analyzing software and computer systems in a business environment.Learn the operating characteristics and limitations of common computer hardware and software utilized by the District.Learn programming languages and software used in the development of computer applications.Learn the principles, practices and techniques used in the documentation of application development.Conducts testing of programs and software applications to ensure they will produce the desired information or results.Performs revision, repair or expansion of existing programs to increase efficiency or adapt to new requirements.Consults with applications developers and other technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems andrecommend changes.Confers with team members and clients to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems orprocedures.Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:Prior experience with Computer and mobile devices.Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.Knowledge of Programming.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Can work both independently and in a team environment.Educational Requirements:Applicants must be a current graduate or undergraduate student seeking a degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related fields.
