The aim is to assist businesses in navigating the digital landscape of tax transparency, compliance, and audit methods while tackling pressing challenges. In today's evolving corporate environment, implementing a transaction tax calculation engine is crucial for automating tax determination and compliance processes across various transactional systems, including ERP applications and custom solutions.Your key responsibilitiesDepending on your unique skills and ambitions, you could be supporting various client projects, from assisting in the production of leading practice MS SQL Server, SharePoint and MS Power BI solutions, to implementing third-party tax applications, to supporting and automating internal and external operations of multinational tax departments. Whatever you find yourself doing, you will contribute and help toward developing a highly trained team, all the while handling activities with a focus on quality and commercial value. This is a highly regulated industry, so it is all about maintaining our reputation as trusted advisors by taking on bold initiatives and owning new challenges.Skills and attributes for successTo qualify for the role, you must have:A bachelor's degree in information systems and/or a master's degree in Accounting, Tax Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 5 years of related work experienceApproved technical certification, CPA license or membership to state Bar or progress to attaining those mentionedA strong interest in technology and its use in business processesExcellent communication and business writing skillsA natural flair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to workStrong organizational and time management skills, with exceptional client-serving consulting skillsDemonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirementsAbility to lead a team, mentor counselees, and manage client-serving businessWillingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environmentIdeally, you will haveExperience implementing third-party direct or indirect tax systems (such as ONESOURCE, CorpTax, Vertex, Avalara, Longview, etc.)Microsoft Power BI suite, including Power Pivot, Power Query, Power View and Power MapKnowledge and experience in the design and development of databases (specifically SQL Server)Experience with developing ETL solutions using SSIS or other toolsERP experience, including SAP and/or OracleExperience managing large, multidisciplinary projects that impact tax (e.g., ERP implementations, tax co-sourcing engagements, finance transformations)What we look forWe are looking for knowledgeable technical professionals with an excellent general knowledge of both international and domestic tax. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $99,700 to $289,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $119,700 to $328,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
