Family Medicine Physician Duties:Schedule: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday100 % out-patient care to patients seen in the clinic, including examination, diagnosis, treatment, and referral to outside facilities as needed, 18 years and older.Hypertension / Diabetes, Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, Neurology, General Internal Medicine patient careMedical emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, shock, sepsis.Limited nutritional counseling.Acute psychiatric problems, including suicide attempts.Lower-acuity complaints including viral illnesses, other infections, minor orthopedic problems, minor trauma.Limited Urgent Care services.Makes appropriate referrals and obtains appropriate consultations as necessary.Follows the medical staff policies and procedures and the Kayenta Service Unit clinical practice guidelines when relevant.Follows federal licensing, accreditation and regulating body standards from organizations such as: CMS, TJC, CLIA and IHS; and any other agency to which the facility is accountable.Interacts in a professional manner with patients and co-workers.
