Program Manager---Managed Services

Overview As Program Manager for Platform Hosting, you lead enterprise hosting services across on‑premise and cloud environments to support a premier biomedical research organization. You will oversee cross‑functional delivery teams, ensure security, schedule adherence, and regulatory/contract compliance, while guiding modernization and disaster recovery efforts. You’ll interact with government leadership, shape hosting strategy, and drive improvements in reliability and customer satisfaction. This role offers impact at scale in a mission‑critical research IT environment. ResponsibilitiesProvide program leadership and execution oversight for Platform Hosting, interfacing with government leadershipOversee planning, execution, and integration of current and future hosting technologiesManage delivery teams across virtualization, application/database hosting, storage/backup, and cloud/hybrid hostingGovern program activities: schedule, risk/issue, dependencies, quality assuranceDevelop and maintain program plans, schedules, staffing, and resource forecastsOversee budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and finance coordinationLead program reviews, executive briefings, and status reporting on performance and riskSupport contract administration, including SLAs and reportingProvide direction for requirements coordination, change management, and service transitionAdvise on modernization opportunities, operational improvements, and lifecycle prioritiesSupport DR and COOP planning and testing for Platform HostingDrive continuous improvement for reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction Key requirementsBachelor’s degree or four additional years of IT experienceMinimum 15 years of progressive IT experience supporting US Federal Government clientsMinimum 5 years of experience managing or supporting enterprise-scale IT hosting environmentsMinimum 3 years of experience with on‑premise, cloud, or hybrid hostingITIL 4 Managing Professional or AWS Certified Cloud PractitionerPMP certificationAbility to obtain a Public TrustResidence within 60 miles of Rockville, MDStrong communication with senior government and executive leadershipAnalytical and problem-solving skillsPeople leadership and talent developmentITIL v4 practicesEnterprise hosting in on-premise, cloud, or hybrid environmentsPlatform hosting governance and lifecycle management
