Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday; 11pm-7amLocation: Bowling Green, OHJob Status: Direct Hire/Full BenefitsSalary: $24 per hour with potential pay increasesThe Chemical Operator will be responsible for the manufacturing of microbial products, monitoring the downstream process of the fermenters.Job Responsibilities: other duties may be assigned as needed.Ensure standard operating procedures are followed and reviewedEnsure batch records are completedPulling of correct raw materials for fermentationAssist in monitoring of fermentation inventoryAssist in downstream processing of fermentors; (centrifugation, spray drying)Assist in preventative maintenance of fermentation equipmentEnsure department is clean and organized at all times and free of hazards and safety violationsOperation of forklifts as requiredBatching of media for fermentation runsSIP, CIP of fermentorsWork odd shifts as requiredLabeling of fermentation vessel pipes and valvesParticipate in safety training programsMonitoring of in process fermentationAssist with microscopic observation of bacteria example: harvest of batchEnsuring fermentation equipment is labelledUsing of the autoclave for fermentation addition bottles example: acid, base, defoamer bottlesAssist in the training of new techniciansStrong knowledge of pressure vesselsStrong knowledge of pump and pumping operationsThe ability to identify different types of valves and how they operate, (both pneumatic and hand valves)Strong trouble shooting skills in both mechanical and electrical applicationsBasic sampling skillsChemical Operator experience preferredPreferred confined space, lock out tag out trainingExperience working with boilers a plusExperience working with PLC's and HMI a plusJob Requirements:High School Diploma or EquivalentProficient with Microsoft Word and OutlookMust be able to lift up to 50lbs.Ability to work odd shift and Overtime as neededFor immediate consideration, please forward your updated resume.As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
