Job SummaryThe Gas Analyzer Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of analytical instrumentation while supporting end-to-end quality control processes. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance, optimizing process performance, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.Job DescriptionPerform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of gas analyzers, including gas chromatographs (GC), GC-MS, moisture, and oxygen analyzersOperate and maintain gas chromatography systems and associated analytical equipmentDiagnose and resolve instrumentation issues, ensuring minimal downtimeManage preventive maintenance schedules and maintain critical spare parts inventoryTransport analyzers and calibration gas cylinders between facilities as neededConduct Measurement System Analysis, including calibration, Gage R&R (GR&R), and stability studiesEnsure analyzer data integrity in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) standardsSupport acceptance testing and commissioning of new analytical equipmentExecute Incoming, In-Process, and Outgoing Quality Control (IQC, IPQC, OQC) proceduresMonitor Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) and other critical parametersEnforce quality and safety compliance, including stop-work authority when necessaryInvestigate deviations and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Manage calibration gas standards, including inventory and certification trackingConduct supplier audits and participate in vendor qualification processesSupport factory acceptance testing for new instrumentationApply quality engineering tools such as FMEA, SPC, RCA, and PDCA methodologiesAnalyze process data to identify trends and drive improvementsSupport a culture of continuous improvement across operationsShift: 7:30am - 16:30pm Phoenix timezoneSkills RequiredMinimum 1–2 years of experience with industrial gas analyzers or semiconductor-grade chemical analysisStrong hands-on experience with gas analyzers and troubleshootingExperience in quality control within industrial gas, chemical, or semiconductor environmentsFamiliarity with statistical process control and quality methodologiesBackground in highly regulated industries (e.g., semiconductor, medical, nuclear) is an assetMilitary technical experience (e.g., engineering laboratory technician) consideredGas analyzer maintenance and troubleshooting expertiseProficiency with gas chromatography equipmentKnowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools (FMEA, MSA, RCA)Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective technical communication skillsEducationBachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)HireResource Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
