Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join the Division of Behavioral Health. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management in accordance with professional statutes, regulations, and clinical protocols.Key Responsibilities:• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop treatment plans• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, counselors, and other clinical team members• Provide psychiatric health services, education, counseling, and emotional support to patients• Prescribe medications in accordance with treatment guidelines• Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory test results• Educate patients on medications, including risks, benefits, and expected outcomes• Refer patients for inpatient care in collaboration with supervising psychiatrist when necessary• Maintain communication with patients and conduct follow-up as required• Provide primary medical care services when indicated and within scope of practice• Perform additional related duties as assignedQualifications:• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis from an accredited institution• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant clinical experience• Active New York State license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
