Licensed Veterinary Technician (Hiring Immediately)

Friarsgate-Ballentine Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team!This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians eager to fully utilize their surgical and anesthesia expertise while making a meaningful impact on patient care.In this role, you will:Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.Ensure an efficient surgical and procedural workflow, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and patients.Communicate with clients to review treatment plans, answer questions, and provide discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.This role is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about anesthesia and are ready to work at the top of their license in a supportive, team-focused environment.Schedule: This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with rotating weekends 1-2 times a month.Full-time benefits and compensation :Compensation: $19 - 22 per hour, for each hour workedBonus package: up to $2,000 based on experience and credentialsCE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenureHealth package: Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and disabilityEmployee Assistance Program401k optionsPaid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable lawPersonal pet discountsMinimum qualifications and skill set:3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical settingCurrent Veterinary Technician License in the state of South CarolinaProficiency in the following skills:Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recoveryPhlebotomy and IV catheter placementInpatient carePerforming dental prophylaxis (including scaling, polishing, and radiography and charting)At Friarsgate-Ballentine Animal Hospital, our technicians play a critical role in every aspect of patient care.
